You will always be your best promoter! On Wednesday, January 22, 2020 I headed out to Mentor Headlands to film the sunrise over Fairport Harbor Lighthouse. The forecast indicated we should actually see the sun, fairly rare in January in Ohio. As I headed out from the parking lot onto the boardwalk I ran into a red fox that walked right up to me and sat down, a good sign?
Because of traffic and the long walk from the lot I didn’t manage to get the drone up until a minute after sunrise, but I knew immediately that it looked like I was getting some pretty good footage. I froze my hands off for 45 minutes or so as I gathered the footage. After I went home and edited the footage on my Imac I knew that I had something pretty special.
After seeing footage from some droning friends (Drone Ohio, Aerial Agents, etc) on various local new programs I decided to contact the channels in town to see if they could use my footage. Cassy from WJW Fox 8 wrote me back and told me they would like to use my footage on their morning show sometime over the weekend! On Sunday morning, January 26, they played a full 45 seconds on the show!
